URBAN DATA was created on August 21, 1995, and is the fruit of many years of cooperation between Germany, Spain, France, Great Britain and Italy. It groups together the main bodies specialized in the collection and the circulation of the information on
Development, Housing, Architecture, Urban Engineering, Urban Planning, Transport, Urban Sociology and the Environment :

Missions

The purpose of URBAN DATA is to support :

· the circulation of technical and cultural scientific information, in particular through networks (Internet...),

· training, co-operation and exchanges between the members,

· the development of its projects and actions through the relationships with the national, European and international institutions.

Action

URBAN DATA is carrying out URBADOC which includes more than 800 000 references of documents on the 5 Member States, but also on the world major metropolises and the developing countries.
